Crack Into This Sacred Marketing Channel To Win

You can do business across any of these channels:

- DMs
- Email
- Phone
- In-person
- Text message

(I have a feeling I’m missing a few but I also don’t want to mess up the aesthetically-pleasing order lol)

DMs, email, and text message are all basically the same… ⬇️

Of these 3, the text message inbox is by far the most sacred imo (most intimate, even)

Talking on the phone is pretty intimate, but if they don’t recognize your number, they’re not picking up to begin with

But boyyyyyy, if you cold text people 🥵 🥵

You’ll feel their wrath

That’s not to say you can’t EVER do business with them via text message

You certainly can, you just have to crack into it

There’s a couple ways to do this

The best (again, imo) is to always text brand new leads in addition to calling. Always send a text — even if automated — within the first 5 mins

If they reply, they’re open to doing business there

Some people will tell you right away that they prefer a different channel

(And the second someone asks that you stop texting them, you stop… don’t even reply with an apology, it pisses them off even more)

Another way you can crack into the text message inbox is by having a sticky lead gen form on your website.

Instead of the email field there, ask that they submit their mobile #.

A large % of people prefer to communicate via sms/text message

Few businesses offer that option

Everyone’s always pushing for a phone call. I mean I get it, you can twist more people’s arms that way.

If you move the conversation to text message, DM, email, you can have it at the pace your prospect prefers.

If they prefer a phone call, they’ll request one.

I’m one of those people.

I cannot stand being on the phone.

It’s exhausting and I end up spacing out after a short while. Not the case with in-person convos for me though

I feel guilty every time I space out too (weird I know)

If it’s over text, I can respond when I’m able to give it the necessary energy

If you have to twist someone’s arm into a sale, you run the serious risk of losing that customer for life.

Focus on being able to crack into your prospects’ text message inbox and you’ll be golden ☀️
