Building a SaaS company — Sept 6, 2021

There are endless use cases nurturely has for any kind of local business—especially service-based businesses.

My “SaaS company” is really a no-code, white-label software platform. Anyone can sign up and start a “software company” with this one. Since anyone can do this, it’s going to be very tricky to differentiate. There are already thousands and thousands of competitors. I just happen to think there is enough room in the market for me to grab a slice no matter the competition. Especially because I can already see enough potential while also realizing I’ve barely learned to use the platform to its fullest.

I can never try to compete on price. I can offer discounts as part of promos/specials (and to anyone I personally choose)… but not publicly, regularly. Lol

I’m putting together this course, and, honestly, I’m kinda struggling with it. I can’t really put my finger on it… it also may just be my own insecurities trying to play ball. 😅

I’m putting this course together to help me sell nurturely. This is one of the ways that I can compete on something other than price. It’s going to be along the lines of lead generation to start. I’m going to discuss what I did with both of mom’s cleaning companies. I’ll teach people to implement that. It was honestly so easy… Like I legitimately feel a pit in my stomach charging money for this info. My mom tells me that this would be wildly valuable lol… but whose mom wouldn’t say that??

These folks who want to learn to do this could easily go to YouTube and learn to put together some kind of digital campaign that brings in leads. Easily. The info-product industry is fucking wild anyway. People are always charging way too much for stuff… but people are also always purchasing. I just can’t have anyone ever feel cheated by me or any member of my future team. I can’t have that happen.

I think I may need to adjust my expectations a bit though. I don’t need to teach people to go from ZERO to acquisition. I just need to teach people to get from 0 to 50 clients. That’s it. That should be my thing.

People who are at ZERO though are likely going to be much tougher sells and I’m going to be dealing with plenty of idiots. I don’t mean to be a dick. But there is always an audience of people who make for terrible, terrible clients and customers. If you happen to fall into that group, you honestly probably don’t even know that you are. I could also just write in the policy that we can sever ties with any clients for any reason and at any time.

I could sell this Zero to Fifty course… I think I could sell it very easily.

  • I do need to think of a name for it though. I need to package this up and productize it well. I kind of like the Zero to Fifty bit already though.

These folks must be willing to invest $500 minimum per month into the growth of their business or they are not good fits for this course. It simply isn’t a good fit. You need to be willing + able to invest in the growth of your f*cking business. If you aren’t you might as well get out. And get out now. Go back into the employee world. Go back and get your W2.

Should I make nurturely invite-only for the first bit?

I think this could be cool but the info-products have GOT to be on point. Nothing less.

Zero to Fifty. For small cleaning companies who need a proven process to generate enough estimates to get to client #50.

Those are the people I need to be talking to. I need to quit overwhelming myself. I know I can do this.
